Pharmacy preparations are preparations (compoundings) made in pharmacies on the basis of a pharmacist's formula or the Magistral Therapeutic Form and delivered to the patient without the need for a prescription.
Each pharmacy preparation is listed in the form of a monograph stored in the pharmacy archives which mentions the therapeutic indication, composition, method of preparation, storage conditions, validity period and dosage.
They make it possible to provide “tailor-made” pharmaceutical quality solutions when standardized industry products do not allow this.
